I haven’t posted for several months for myriad reasons. Initially, I stopped because translating the Old Testament was taxing my brain. Then, I found myself riddled with questions about God’s Will. I wondered, for example, if this blog was truly inspired by the Holy Spirit or merely an ego-motivated exercise in intellectualizing? And lastly, I had a stroke in the wee hours of July 24, which totally upended my life. I’ve since restored my briefly shaken faith in God’s protection and have also regained most of the function in my left hand, apart from the ability to type as efficiently and automatically as before. Hopefully, that will improve with time and practice.
Thankfully, the stroke was relatively minor, owing to the Holy Spirit, who assures me He took steps to minimize the damage. Even so, it ripped me back into the world of bodies like nobody’s business. Before, my life was all about God and Spirit, meditating, studying the scriptures, and writing about Spiritual Truth, whereas now it’s all about diet, exercise, medications, doctors, and therapy. Despite the acute disruption, I continue to meditate on the OM every day.
There is more to say, but the typing handicap is making this exceedingly laborious, so I’ll sign off for now. But I promise to be back very soon with more mind-blowing insights into the universality of Spiritual Truths.
Adieu for now and let’s try to remember that all things work together for the greater good. And the greater good is always the AT-ONE-MENT of the Christ Mind, which God sent Elohim into the worldly dream-desert to restore. And what blows apart our self-created ego-body lives and identities quite like a stroke? Not much, I daresay, except perhaps physical death.
